Email to multiple SMS recipients

This article illustrates how to forward an email to multiple SMS recipients (using the SMS gateway)

The first thing you have to do is to place the new script in /etc/sms/scripts (call it "email2smsmult").
This is available here (right click to download).

Remember to make it executable, giving right permissions.
Then you have to replace the link to the older script in /etc/.procmailrc with the new one:

From: /etc/sms/scripts/email2sms
To: /etc/sms/scripts/email2smsmult

Finally, you create the files needed by the script to work (giving them right permissions):

/var/log/iterator.txt
/var/log/numbers.txt
/var/log/numbers1.txt

Now reboot, and you only will have to send an email like this one, and it will be sent via SMS to the recipients:

Subject:
   TOsms

Body:
   From: YOURNAME
   To: NUM1,NUM2,NUM3,...

   Text of the message

Remember to activate the "SMS gateway" from the Control Panel.
