Think how nice would be send out SMS messages using the flexibility of FileMaker PRO's database... With Foxbox it's possible, in just one click.

There are two methods for sending Short Messages from FileMaker. The first one is passing parameters to the "open URL" function of your script, as shown below in the fully working example:

All you need to do is to set the correct parameters, as shown in the example, to the "open URL" function from your scriptmaker window.

The other possible method is to use the FoxBox SMTP gateway utility, running a local SMTP server on your machine.

In order to use this example, you need to set your default SMTP mail account with the IP an port number of your pc (if local, it will simply be "localhost"), that you configured inside the SMTP gateway simulator utility. Use as recipent of the SMS the syntax This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and press "Send", so the system will automatically dispatch SMS messages to the provided destination.

For Incoming SMS messages you can simply import it from one of the format provided by Foxbox Desktop utilities.
